Best Time to Buy Apple Products

Is... anytime. Well, anytime if the product will meet your needs for the foreseeable future. I'm not that impressed with the Core 2 Duo processors, they offer 5% to 10% more performance.

Why Vista is Better

ExtremeTech has a very nice article on the features of Vista and its rewritten Kernel. It is not another Windows ME. It is better, faster (on the right system), stronger, it's the $6 million operating system. Do I give them too much credit, maybe.

Hal 9000 USB Memory Unit

This one is kind of cool. What we have here is a 1GB flash memory drive modled after HAL 9000 from 2001 A Space Odyessy. It will set you back $70 which is a hefty price tag but hey, this is a HAL memory core unit we are talking about here (okay, not really).

55 Screenshots of the latest Vista Build

A PCMag insider report has 55 screenshots of the latest build of Vista. Microsoft says it is feature complete and two new features include the Sidebar (I'd turn that off) and the Welcome Center (something else I would turn off) but it still looks very cool.

World's largest Windows error message

Times Sqaure has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Apparently all those billboards over Times Square are run by Windows. A giant Windows error message appeared on a two story billboard for all to see.

Pay or Get Spammed

This is a good one. EA is going to charge you $2 if you want to play in the online mode in Fight Night 3 for the PSP. It's either pay them the $2 or provide them with some personal information that they are going to use any way they want, no joke.

Just How Fast is Your PC

I'm certainly not going to win any points for this post but it has been a while since I posted anything here. I figured it was time that I posted something, anything.

Nintendo DS Gets Media Player, 4GB HDD

Datel has created a 4GB HDD/media player combo unit for the Nintendo DS. It appears to plug into either the DS or GBA slot and seems to be a good fit for the original DS. I have no idea how it would fair on the DS Lite.

Windows XP/2000 Commands and Tools

This site has some cool command line utilities that are built right into Windows 2000, XP, Pro/Home though a good deal of the advanced ones like taskkill and tasklist are for XP Pro only.

True 3D Display

No optical illusions here. This is a true 3D display that creates plasma in open air using lasers, the lasers can produce 100 dots per second. Very cool. I'll wait for one that can do full 3D high def color images.

Lots of Wallpaper

This site has lots and lots of simply gorgeous wallpaper, check it out.

The Full Screen iPod

Pictures of the full screen iPod. I have no idea where it came from but there it is.

The DS Lite will be launching in three colors, White, Ice Blue and Enamel Navy. At least in Japan anyway, I don't know if these colors will be available in the States on launch day.
